Zinc sulfate is vital to plants, as it is involved in the production of growth hormones and chlorophyll, as well as in the respiration process and synthesis of carbohydrates. Therefore, zinc sulfate is a great product to replenish zinc content of depleted harvest lands which will guarantee the supply of this essential element to crops produced in them.

Animal Nutrition

Zinc is an essential micronutrient in animal diet, as it acts as a functional component of several enzyme systems involved with respiration, cellular growth, reproduction, and digestion. Compounds made from this element, such as zinc oxide and zinc sulfate are used as nutritional supplements in animal feed. Some species that benefit from the use of zinc are: beef and dairy cattle, swine, poultry, fish and household pets.

Zinc oxide is one of the most diversified compounds, making it versatile to use in a wide range of industrial chemical applications. It functions as a catalyst in many chemical processes, including alkylation, dehydrogenation and oxidation.

Is an important additive in motor oil, general lubricants, resins and oils. The zinc allows for improved adhesion and thermal stability in lubricants.

Additionally, Zinc Nacional produces an iron concentrate used by the cement and iron smelting industries, lead sulfate purchased by lead smelters.
